BIO

Junmin Lee is Assistant Professor at Pusan National University in South Korea and a former postdoctoral research fellow at the Spatial Dynamics Lab, University College Dublin. Prior to joining University College Dublin, he was a postdoctoral research associate in the Division of Public Policy at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a postdoctoral fellow at Seoul National University Global R&DB Center. At the intersection of innovation studies and computational social science, his research primarily focused on exploring the innovation systems in transition and science, technology, and innovation policy, with particular emphasis on the diffusion of technological innovation. In addition, his interdisciplinary research spans knowledge trajectories and regional dynamics from evolutionary economic geography for providing practical and actionable policy recommendations for decision-makers. He earned his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics studying an interdisciplinary major offered by the Technology Management, Economics and Policy Program, and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering at Seoul National University.
